Greetings!

My name is Meredith Chester, and welcome to Wild Daffodil! Thank you for taking the time to read.

I’m originally from Florida, and I now call Tennessee home with my enormous goldendoodle, Macy. I write poetry and short fiction and utilize this newsletter to publish some of my writing and provide other publication updates. It’s encouraging to engage with other writers and readers in the Substack community! I love Jesus and, in my writing, I gravitate toward noticing significance in the mundane, finding meaning in the details, and examining the long, beautiful process of redemption. I love to stare at the creek next to my house, take my dog for walks, sit on my porch, or relax in my favorite spot on the sofa. I value having time and space to think and reflect, which feeds my ability to write. My site title is inspired by the daffodils which appear in my yard at the end of each long winter, ushering in the beauty of spring.
