"Xizhimen, Beijing"

The Clayjar Review published its 10th issue today, “A Thrill of Hope,” and I’m overjoyed to have my poem, “Xizhimen, Beijing” included! I’m thankful to The Clayjar Team for their consideration and selection, and for sharing it with the world alongside all of these beautiful works.
This poem is close to my heart. I wrote the original version 12 years ago while living in the Xizhimen neighborhood of Beijing, China. I’m full of thankfulness that even my tentative hope for love serves to heighten the drama and glory with which God reaches out to meet me. How gracious of Him to give this a permanent and beautiful home in The Clayjar Review.
