What better way to wrap up a lovely weekend Mother’s Day-ing with my mom than to share that The Clayjar Review’s 14th issue, “Silence” is live? I thrive in quiet solitude, so I love this theme. I’m honored to have my sijo “The Sparrow” included! I was thrilled to read Rachel Landrum Crumble’s poem “17-Year Cicadas” as well, which is stunning, along with many others.

Thank you to the editors at The Clayjar Review for assembling this beautiful collection. Reflecting on these is grounding me tonight. I’m thankful that God sees each of us. And, Happy Mother’s Day once more, Mom. :)

House Finch chicks. I miss checking on them daily (many of you received text updates, lol)! I took this photo on my Grandmother’s birthday in April. They’ve all flown, their nest (which decimated my viola plant, a gift from my dad) is now dormant, and my front porch feels eerily quiet.
